Common Misconceptions about Mom-Entrepreneurs:

  • There is not enough time in the day- Prioritize your daily tasks. More time in the day just means more inefficiency if you are not efficient with your time.

  • Being productive is getting everything done in both your business and as a mom- productivity is getting the right things done.

Actionable Steps on Time Management for Mom-Entrepreneurs:

  • Having a system in place and knowing your priorities to be proactive instead of reactive.

  • Setting priorities in advance helps to prevent that overwhelming feeling and decision fatigue.

  • Set boundaries- when you prioritize your tasks then you feel empowered to set boundaries to protect your time and priorities.

  • Batching- grouping similar activities together to improve focus and efficiency.

  • Eliminate multitasking or task switching- complete one task fully before moving on to another task.

  • Time block- have a block of time for focused tasks. Once you get interrupted, it takes a lot of time to get back into the task and also increases your chance for errors.

  • Create long form content with the intention of repurposing it and get your information out there for your audience to see it.
